Thankful Thursday – Babies – Day 191

Today I’m thankful for life. I’m thankful for the birds as they chirp early in the morning. (Not that I’m ever up early in the morning…) I’m thankful for merry children. I’m thankful for little barky dogs. I’m thankful for the flowers as they are swayed by the wind.

I’m thankful for each little baby that comes into the world.

I’m saddened that people take life so lightly. They like to belittle things like abortion, which are destroying new life everyday. They say it’s not life. They make up little words like fetus to destroy the meaning of that little baby’s life. And then they destroy that life. The adorable little laughter will never be heard. The cute little children’s voices as they grow up will be destroyed and never enjoyed. The cries of the infant as it tries to communicate; snuffed out forever. The little runny noses will never be wiped off. The inquisitive looks on their faces will never see the light of day. The wonderment of life as they see it through their beautiful eyes will never be there. And instead people laugh it off and look to make profits off of each little child’s cruel death.

Oh how hypocritical it is. They look in mock horror at the slavery of those in the 1700s and 1800s. They can’t believe they would be such fools as to think of those with a different skin color to be lesser human beings. But now instead, they take small little humans, call them fetuses, and then murder them. Both of them are done for convenience sake. One, you can’t afford not to have them. The other you can’t afford to have them. They’re opposite, but both driven by the exact same desire to gain materially and kill or brutally treat another human being to get there.

Christians love life. We don’t kill our children. We don’t kill our parents when they get old. We love a God who has given us eternal life.

Psalm 139:13-14: For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
